Molly Schar
Executive Director


As Executive Director, Molly Schar serves as a strategic partner to the NSGIC Board of Directors and leads the organization's operations. Calling on nearly two decades of experience in nonprofit management, growth and impact, Molly works to foster coordination and collaboration with volunteer leaders, members, organizational partners and other stakeholders across the geospatial space. Molly grew up in a family of public servants - teachers, law enforcement and federal government careerists - in the Washington, DC area. She has lived on boats on both the East and West coasts and now resides "on the hard" near the Gulf Coast in her adopted hometown of New Orleans.

Jamie Chesser
Geospatial Programs Manager


As NSGIC's Geospatial Programs Manager, Jamie serves as a collaborative, energetic partner working with the executive director, staff, leadership volunteers, membership, organizational partners and stakeholders to advance the mission of the organization. Jamie draws on a life and career full of geospatial science and GIS technology teaching and curriculum building, project management, public speaking and facilitation, and community organizing and activism. When introduced to the power of GIS in graduate school, not only was Jamie hooked on this technology, she knew it was vital for our communities, states, countries, and the world. After bouncing around the US, Jamie and her family have made their home in Colorado. When asked how they got there, Jamie quoted "The mountains are calling, and I must go." - John Muir

Bridget Nolan
Membership & Meetings Manager

NSGIC staff membership meetings bridget nolan  

Based in New Orleans, Bridget Nolan serves as the Membership and Meetings Manager with NSGIC. She has demonstrated success in event planning, membership engagement, and has a deep passion for advocacy and social change. She is excited to help facilitate a community and space in which important and necessary conversations can be had. Bridget is interested in the role GIS and other geospatial technologies have in creating equitable economies which also support a balanced and healthy planet.

Harpinder Mann
Communications Coordinator

 Harpinder Mann Communications  

Harpinder Mann brings to NSGIC a great background as a community and relationship-builder, with specialized experience in digital marketing, content strategy, and social media management. Harpinder is excited to bring her skills of storytelling and community development to further advance the mission of the organization. Originally from the Bay Area in California, Harpinder recently returned from two years in Australia and is located in New Orleans. Outside of her marketing career, she is a yoga and meditation teacher.

Lynda Wayne
Project Manager

lynda NSGIC staff project manager 3DEP  

Lynda Wayne brings 3 decades of geospatial data management and coordination experience to the position of 3DEP Project Manager. A long-time metadata advocate, Lynda thrives on creating practical approaches to complex issues. She is a Landscape Architect by training and spent her early career in the marshes of coastal Louisiana applying GIS and image processing to the mitigation of land loss, hurricanes, and oil spills. She is a former NSGIC alternate for the State of Louisiana but left for the mountains of western North Carolina before the NSGIC staff coalesced in New Orleans.
