Jeff SmithJeff Smith manages the Ohio Spatial Data Infrastructure for the Ohio Geographically Referenced Information Program (OGRIP) and has been involved with GIS technology for 19 years in both State and Local government. During his tenure with the State of Ohio he has collaborated with Federal, State and local government to develop the Ohio Location Based Response System and the Ohio Statewide Imagery Program. Drawing on his experience in County government Jeff has built and maintains close working relationships with OGRIP's local government partners and associations. Through these relationships Ohio has established the partnerships necessary to build the Transportation, Addressing, Imagery, Elevation and Metadata components of the OSDI. Jeff also manages the Office of Information Technology GIS Support Center, providing data and application hosting services to state agencies as well as providing enterprise data and map services to the general public. In addition Jeff has trained over 200 state and regional epidemiologists in the use of GIS technology through OGRIP's partnership with the Ohio State University School of Public Health. |
