Michael Byrne
Michael is the eServices Policy Manager with the California Department of Public Health. GIS Architect with the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development. He has 17 years of GIS experience in a wide variety of state government and academia. Michael has implemented GIS programs for the California Resources Agency, Department of Health Services, State Water Resources Control Board, State Fire Marshal, Department of Fish and Game, Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, and Department of Transportation. He has served as a GIS manager for the University of California Davis’s Information Center for the Environment and as staff to the Secretary for Resources implementing special GIS projects. Michael holds a Bachelors of Science in Environmental Planning and a Masters of Art in Geography both from the University of California Davis.
