NSGIC 1999 Annual Meeting
"Jazzed About the NSDI: Creating Awareness, Solutions and Success"
August 27 - September 1, 1999
Hotel Monteleone, French Quarter
New Orleans, Louisiana
What do New Orleans and NSGICs 9th Annual Conference have in common? When reflecting
on New Orleans, one immediately thinks of Mardi Gras, Bourbon Street and Jazz. The vitality
and creativity that made New Orleans the home of these unique institutions is evident throughout
the city and can be found in all aspects of civic life. Being aware of its assets and using these to
achieve successful solutions has been a New Orleans hallmark over the decades.
It is with this spirt of open and independent thinking that NSGIC approaches its Annual
Conference. This years theme, Awareness, Solutions and Success, mirrors the ideals
necessary to move large concepts forward be it a city or the NSDI. In a venue where Place and
Location are so highly regarded, what a perfect backdrop to NSGICs 9th Annual Conference.
Oh, by the way ... did we mention the one other New Orleans perfection? ... ... FUN!!!
