RAMONA Work Group
Committee Mission:
To oversee the future development of the Ramona System to ensure that it offers the greatest possible value to all statewide GIS coordination councils.
The Committee will incorporate input from a wide range of Ramona users and non-users to ensure a balanced perspective on managing the system.
The Committee will provide guidance to the Project Manager and Technical Manager who will task the System Developer with making appropriate changes to the System.
The Committee will ensure that Ramona shall:
Remain a centralized system while each state will have minor capabilities to customize it for their domain to ensure buy-in.
- Be operated in a cost-effective manner to ensure that no undue financial burden is placed on NSGIC for future operation of the system.
- Be kept simple so that the average GIS user is willing to create a profile and inventory of their data and policies.
- Be compatible with as many Federal inventory efforts as possible to ensure its utility to state and local GIS Users.
- Support statewide strategic and business plan development efforts.
