Data Sharing Guidelines Available
The Data Sharing Work Group published Guidelines on accessing and sharing geospatial data. The Guidelines include a discussion of the 'Myths' associated with the distribution of geospatial data and they help set the tone for NSGIC's involvement in any future activities related to data sharing. Access the Guidelines here. The Work Group plans to assemble a library of referencve documents on this site to assist anyone interested in the sharing of geospatial data.
NG 9-1-1 Top Ten List for State Coordinators
The Next Generation 9-1-1 Work Group published a 'Top Ten' list of actions that each state coordinator can take to help them better understand and assist the 9-1-1 Community in their state. Access the list here.
Call for Midyear Meeting Content
The Conference Committee has called on NSGIC members to suggest content for the 2012 Midyear Meeting that will be held at the Loews Hotel in Annapolis, Maryland, from February 26, 2012, to March 1, 2012. Submit your ideas to Tony Spicci who Chairs the Conference Committee.
2011 - 2013 Strategic Plan Update is Underway
NSGIC leadership and members of the Corporate Leadership Council will meet on September 9, 2012, to review progress on our objectives, make adjustments to the Plan and perform a SWOT analysis to ensure that NSGIC is on a course that will keep the organization relevant in these tough financial times.
